Falkirk police have been facing ‘unprecedented demand’ for their services in recent months and they are now looking at new ways to improve community policing, councillors have been told.
One of these is a new ‘community hub’ model, which aims to respond to ‘non-urgent’ concerns more effectively.
The pilot, which started in the Forth Valley area this week, will see two police officers in each council ward dedicated to community investigations, members of Falkirk Council’ s Scrutiny Committee heard this week.
