Gujarat police leverages fingerprint records in NAFIS to solve 80 crimes in 9 months October 08, 2025

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Police has taken a significant step towards smart and professional policing by using modern technology. Through the National Automated Fingerprint Identification System (NAFIS), the state police have solved around 80 major crimes up to September this year, marking another milestone in its tech-driven approach, an official statement said today.

State Police Chief Shri Vikas Sahay said that the adoption of such technology makes crime investigation faster and more accurate, reinforcing Gujarat Police’s commitment to smarter, professional policing.
