A pedestrian was struck by a River LINE train early in the morning on Wednesday, Oct. 8.

The incident was announced slightly before 6:30 a.m. and was reported to have happened close to Bordentown Station in Burlington County. An emergency announcement on NJ Transit noted that the struck pedestrian was a trespasser and that the incident was fatal.

No information about who the individual was released at the time of publication.

As a result, all River LINE trains between Cass Street and Roebling were suspended. This applies to trains running in both directions.

This is the second recent occurrence of an individual being struck by the River LINE train service.
