The German mayor who was "stabbed 13 times" is no longer in danger of losing her life. Despite initial reports suggesting "several men" were behind Tuesday's attack, Iris Stalzer has allegedly told police her 17-year-old adopted daughter is the suspect.

The teenager and her 15-year-old brother, who was also adopted, were both temporarily arrested following the shocking incident. Police believe mayor of Herbedecke was stabbed in the basement of her home before she dragged herself to the ground floor.
