BELOIT, Wis. (WMTV) - The School District of Beloit superintendent announced his intention to resign, according to a statement released Wednesday.
The Beloit Board of Education accepted Dr. Willie E. Garrison II’s resignation. Garrison has been in the position since 2022.
The resignation is set to go into effect on Dec. 31.
A reason for the resignation was not provided.
Dr. Garrison said it was an honor to serve the district.
“I am proud of what we have accomplished together over the past three years, particularly the achievements of our students,” Garrison said. “I also want to thank our outstanding staff, families, and community members for their support of our schools.”
