WINOOSKI, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - The Mandarin in Winooski is officially closing, owners confirmed on Facebook last night.
In their post, restaurant officials thanked "everyone who’s ever walked through our doors, shared a meal, or supported us in any way".
The Chinese restaurant originally opened in 2018, the its story goes back to 1988, as reported by owner Lawrence Fong on the Mandarin website. He writes that his family opened the original Mandarin restaurant back on Church Street after moving to Vermont.
While the restaurant may not be there, the Facebook post confirmed that "the space isn’t going away—it will soon become something new under different ownership."
The restaurant will be open until the end of this month.
