Last night, the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) announced their week 5 GPAC Golf Players of the Week, presented by Hauff Mid-America Sports.

On the men’s side, Waldorf Junior Luke Fenner was selected as the GPAC Golfer of the Week for his performance at the Waldorf University Fall Invitational on September 28 in Albert Lea. At Wedgewood Cove Golf Course, Fenner tied for first overall in a field of 49 golfers with a 68 stroke total, good for 4 under-par. Fenner got off to a good start in the front 9 holes, tallying two birdies with seven pars. The back 9 holes is where Luke really had his moments, draining three birdies and an eagle. As part of his solid day, he helped the Waldorf Warriors finish tied for first in the team standing with Viterbo at 9 over par.
