Sennheiser has announced a new pair of headphones that support high-res audio through a wired or wireless connection, even if your smartphone doesn’t support the latest Bluetooth codecs. The HDB 630 looks similar to the redesigned Sennheiser Momentum 4 that launched in 2022 because both headphones are built on the same chassis, but Sennheiser’s latest features a new “customized acoustic system built for focused listening” plus conveniences like active noise cancellation and stellar battery life.
The HDB 630 supports high-res audio with a resolution up to 24-bit/96 kHz when connected to a source with a USB-C or 3.5mm audio cable. The headphones also support high-res wireless audio streaming using the Bluetooth aptX Adaptive codec. The older Momentum 4 supported the aptX Adaptive codec, too
