MIDDLETOWN, CT (WFSB) - A jury found a man guilty of murdering the mother of his children in her Middletown home and fleeing to Georgia.
William Bigaud Jr., 42, of Cromwell, heard the jury’s decision on Tuesday, according to Michael Gailor, state’s attorney for the Middlesex Judicial District.
Bigaud was found guilty of murder, home invasion, first-degree burglary, and risk of injury to a child.
According to Gailor, evidence at trial showed that Bigaud stabbed Quanisha Burress at a home on Green Street on June 8, 2020, and then fled the state.
He was apprehended on June 10, 2020 after a high-speed chase by authorities in LaGrange, GA.
Sentencing was scheduled for Dec.8, 2025 in the Middlesex Superior Court.
