Eagle Rock —The building that houses Tritch Hardware store — a neighborhood institution that has anchored the corner of Colorado Boulevard and Townsend Avenue for 80 years — is in the process of being sold to a new owner. However, the hardware store itself is not part of the sale.

This comes just mere months after the intersection near the store was renamed “Tritch Family Square” — honored by the City Council as a “‘tried and true’ community-based service,” according to the Council motion.

A sale is pending and the property is now in escrow, according to a listing on Loopnet. The seller is a Tritch family trust.
