FAR ROCKAWAY, Queens (PIX11) -- A 30-year-old woman is accused of committing a robbery while her child was found roaming unattended near a laundromat in Queens, according to police.

Leshea Harris was arrested on Monday in connection with a robbery in Brooklyn, just a day before her 5-year-old son was found unattended at 25–15 Seagirt Boulevard around 5:30 p.m. in Far Rockaway, Queens, authorities reported.

Harris was later charged on Tuesday with four counts of reckless endangerment and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, officials said.

The 5-year-old has since been taken into the care of the Administration for Children's Services (ACS).

It was not immediately made clear how the child may have gotten away from the home. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
