Syracuse, N.Y. - The Melting Pot , a restaurant that closed seven years ago at Destiny USA , is about to reopen.

The restaurant, which specializes in fondue, plans to reopen Oct. 24 with a special event from 2 to 4 p.m.

The Melting Pot is reclaiming its former space in the mall’s Canyon area.

The restaurant offers a four-course fondue dinner with dessert. It operated at Destiny USA from 2012 to 2018. It closed citing declining profits.

The Tampa, Fla.-based chain has about 96 locations in 31 states. That includes three in New York: Buffalo (in Pyramid’s Walden Galleria ), White Plains and Farmingdale (Long Island).
