Udupi, Oct 8: In an incredible turn of events, a 13-year-old missing case from Udupi district has finally been solved.

Back in December 2012, 16-year-old Ananth Krishna Prabhu, son of Prabhakar Prabhu from a village near Mundkur, had left home saying he was going to the temple — but never returned. At the time, he was a first-year Pre-University student at Vidyavardhaka PU College, Mundkur. His sudden disappearance left his family heartbroken, and a missing person’s complaint was filed at Karkala rural police station.

For years, despite several efforts, there was no trace of Ananth. Time passed, and hopes began to fade — until recently, when a special investigation team reopened the case.
