A police dog from the Brown County Sheriff’s Office in Indiana successfully located two missing 11-year-old children who had become separated from their mothe r in the Hoosier National Forest. The incident occurred near Sundance Lake, prompting first responders to be dispatched at approximately 5:48 p.m. on Sunday (October 5).
Deputy Cody Loncaric and his K-9 partner, Knox, played a crucial role in the search. Knox, in his first field tracking mission, covered about 550 yards and led rescue workers in the right direction to find the children . The search operation also involved conservation officers from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Nashville police, and volunteer fire departments from Harrison Township and Southern Brown County.
