Kristen Hogan , a 33-year-old mother from Ridgefield, Connecticut, is set to appear in court on Thursday (October 9) after being charged with two counts of attempted murder. She allegedly attempted to poison a man, with whom she shares a child , by putting antifreeze in his wine. Hogan was arrested last Friday after admitting to pouring ethylene glycol, a toxic chemical found in antifreeze, into the wine bottle, according to an affidavit obtained by ABC News .

The incident came to light when the 34-year-old victim was hospitalized in early August with symptoms initially thought to be a stroke .
