DENVER (KDVR) — A study revealed that Coloradans carry the most debt compared to any state in the nation.

CompareTheMarket, a lending company, performed a study on which country's citizens carry the most debt in the world, and who is the least concerned about it. The study delved even further and provided results for each state in the United States.

To achieve the results for the study, analysts measured factors, including: • Average annual salary • Average house price per square meter • Average monthly rent • Monthly cost of living • Unemployment rate %

For the countries, each of those categories was assigned a point total, with all categories totaling a maximum of 100 points.

For the states, only the total amount of debt per person was measured.
