DENVER (KDVR) -- A motorcyclist was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries via helicopter after a crash on Wednesday afternoon near Idaho Springs.

The Clear Creek Sheriff's Office said a Flight for Life helicopter landed on Highway 103 about seven miles south of Idaho Springs around 1 p.m. The highway goes through Idaho Springs, Blue Valley and Pine Valley.

The sheriff's office said a motorcycle crashed on Chicago Creek Road, and the driver suffered life-threatening injuries.
