FORT MADISON, Iowa (KWQC) - Fort Madison police officers are asking the public for help after officers say a man was assaulted.
Police said a man got multiple injuries in an assault about 12:45 p.m. Monday, according to a media release.
The man, identified as Stanley Dumas, was taken to the hospital and was “stable,” police said.
Police said there is no known threat to the public or community at this time, and they are investigating with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
