DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - A Quad-Cities man was sentenced for receiving thousands of images and videos containing child pornography on two cellphones.
Alexander Evans, 42, will spend 27 years in federal prison, according to court documents.
Evans was on supervised release for a child pornography offense and on the sex offender registry at the time, officials said.
After finishing his prison sentence, Evans will serve a five-year term of supervised release and has to pay $57,000 in restitution, according to a media release from the Scott County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials said Evans’ supervised released for his previous federal conviction for getting child pornography was revoked. The court sentenced Evans to two years in prison, which will run at the same time as his 27-year sentence.
