A pedestrian was struck by a train Wednesday morning, the Hattiesburg Police Department said.On October 8 at approximately 9:33 a.m., emergency personnel responded to the 100 block of Stubbs Street after receiving reports that a southbound train had struck a person, according to an HPD news release. When officers arrived the pedestrian was being transported to a hospital. The train had come to a stop. The incident is under investigation.Additional details, including the individual’s condition and identity, are not being released during the investigation and notification of family.More information will be provided as it becomes available.
