It cost about $116,000 for the ballot issue committee behind the successful campaign to convince voters to pass a $283 million bond package for Helena Public Schools last month, according to state campaign finance filings.

About 21,000 Helena voters passed a $240 million high school bond by 358 votes and a $43 million elementary school bond by 375 votes in the Sept. 9 municipal election, narrowly securing funding for the district that school officials said was critical to its infrastructure and future. Education
