MURRAY, Ky. (KFVS) - A man from Wichita, Kansas has pleaded guilty to sex crimes involving a child from western Kentucky.
The Murray Police Department said it received a report of a missing 14-year-old juvenile back on November 18, 2024.
Police say an investigation found the juvenile had been lured to Wichita by 21-year-old Samuel Loredo. Working with Kansas authorities, the juvenile was found safe the next day.
Detectives with the Wichita Police Department’s Exploited and Missing Child Unit conducted a follow-up investigation, resulting in Loredo being criminally charged.
Then on October 3, 2025, Murray Police say Loredo pled guilty to criminal sodomy, indecent liberties with a child, aggravated interference with parental custody and sexual exploitation of a child.
