ANN ARBOR, MI — A top administrator is leaving the University of Michigan for an Ivy League institution.

Geoffrey Chatas, executive vice president and chief financial officer of UM, will leave the university at the end of October to take on the senior vice president of operations role at Yale University, according to an Oct. 8 University Record announcement.

UM Vice President for Finance Bobby Hewlett will step in as the university’s interim executive vice president and chief financial officer on Nov. 1.
