CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (WAVE) – A single car crash in Clark County has claimed the life of a Floyd County man.

According to Indiana State Police, emergency crews were called out around 8:20 p.m. October 7 to Brown Station Way near Lewis and Clark Parkway. They found a Pontiac G7 in the westbound lane of Brown Station Way that had struck a culvert.

The crash killed the driver, who has been identified as Daniel Lee Wade Burns, age 23, of New Albany. Burns was the lone occupant of the vehicle.

Investigators have determined that Burns’ car drifted across the fog line before it struck a raised curb while continuing to head west on Brown Station Way. ISP says the car then veered off the roadway into a ditch before striking the culvert.
