LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Some skills can’t be taught in a classroom and the University of Louisville is finding a way to educate students on important life lessons.

Inspired by the Louisville Free Public Library’s “How-To Festival” and hosted by the Libraries’ Student Advisory Board, this hands-on event is teaching students practical life skills from budgeting to basic cooking.

Over 40 presenters from University of Louisville, Louisville Metro Government, the Louisville Tool Library and others were there at the event to teach everything from how to sew to how to read a road map.

The event was held at Ekstrom Library on the school’s campus.
