Ohio became the newest state committed to creating communities that will support citizens as they grow older as it officially joined the AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities., Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine announced on Sept. 17.
Age-friendly communities are places where people at every stage of life are supported with areas like the streets, parks and living spaces designed to be accessible, inviting and welcoming while promoting civic engagement and connections across different generations with social participation.
