TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Fort Braden is in the same county as Tallahassee, but the two towns couldn’t be more different.

Services that are readily available in the capital city may not be on the rural roads to the west.

The Fort Braden Family Resource Center opened six months ago, offering almost everything a community could need. Zumba? Sure. The most popular class? Sewing.

But in the back, you’ll find frozen chickens. And in the cabinets, baby diapers, formula and other necessities. Also, students no longer have to drive an hour round-trip for tutoring.

Beth Young, a mother who often frequents the FRC with her daughter, said the center has been a game-changer.
