DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) -- A Georgia man is facing two counts of reckless homicide in connection with a January crash that killed a North Carolina couple in Darlington County, the South Carolina Highway Patrol said.

Daryl Leon Causey Jr. of Conley, Georgia, was arrested on Tuesday and booked into the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center, where he was being held on Wednesday on a $50,000 bond.

William Tyler Nichols, 31, and his wife, Christie Thomas Nichols, 30, died in the Jan. 8 multivehicle crash, which happened on Highway 52 near Horse Branch Trail. Causey was not hurt in the crash, which injured four other people, including a passenger in his car and three people in the pickup.
