GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) - A pair of vehicle vs. building crashes happened within close proximity and minutes of each other on Wednesday afternoon.
The first collision happened at Mesa Mall as the driver struck a planter outside of JCPenney. The driver and passenger were transported to the hospital, and the extent of their injuries is unknown, according to our reporter on the scene. Officials believe the crash was a result of a medical condition, but the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
A few minutes later, the driver hit the entrance of the Subway restaurant off of Patterson Road and Market Street. The extent of injuries is unknown.
The Grand Junction Police and Fire Department responded to both incidents.
