Fastrup helps rebuild Sunrise Mountain cross country

Andrew Fastrup finished third in the 2024 state Division II cross country meet in 2024, and fourth as a sophomore in 2023.

Therefore, the Sunrise Mountain star runner approached his senior season with some serious individual goals. Yet, in some ways, his goals for the Mustangs team take precedence.

As a freshman fairly new to distance running, Fastrup was part of a bigger team that qualified for the state final. Now he has become the program’s primary recruiter.
