CLEVELAND — It was an emotional day in the courtroom on Wednesday as witnesses continued to testify in the trial for Bionca Ellis.
Ellis is the woman accused of fatally stabbing 3-year-old Julian Wood and injuring his mother, Margot Wood, outside a Giant Eagle grocery store in North Olmsted on June 3, 2024.
The first witness to take the stand on Wednesday was Travis Bush, a DoorDash driver. He was at Giant Eagle that day to pick up a delivery.
Bush told the courtroom he was sitting in his car when he saw Ellis following the victims.
“She stabbed the kid. Drew back. Stabbed him again and that’s when I saw Mrs. Wood grab Julian, sorry, and pulling him out,” said Bush. “[Margot Wood] starting screaming. I’ll never get that out of my head.”
