PAINESVILLE, Ohio — A Cleveland Heights man will spend four years in prison after leading Willoughby police on a chase that ended with a crash this past spring.

Troy Lacey, 31, previously pleaded guilty in the Lake County Court of Common Pleas to felony charges of failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer. He also admitted to possessing a controlled substance.

On the morning of May 13, Willoughby police say they were told Lacey was driving in their city and had an active warrant for his arrest out of Mentor. After an officer tried to pull him over, he instead sped away on Interstate 90 east into Mentor, with law enforcement from that city also coming in to assist.
