LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Deep within E.P. Tom Sawyer Park, the woods come alive each October. Grim Trails , an outdoor haunted attraction run by owner Andrew Coombs, draws visitors into a world inspired by myths, legends and fairy tales.
Grim Trails sets itself apart from traditional haunted houses by focusing on atmosphere and storytelling rather than shock value.
“If you can see it on the news, you’re not going to see it here,” Coombs said. “We’re more theatrical, with creatures and real history incorporated into our show.”
Coombs’ passion for Halloween storytelling stretches back more than four decades.
