MANSFIELD, Mass. (WPRI) — Mansfield police and firefighters responded to a crash between a vehicle and a public school bus on Wednesday afternoon.

The crash happened just after 2 p.m. at the intersection of Balcom and Otis streets. Police said the bus was carrying around 30 middle and high school students at the time.

The students and bus driver were not injured.

Mansfield Public Schools immediately notified families of the incident, and students were transferred to another bus to be brought home.

The driver of the vehicle, a 17-year-old girl from North Attleboro, was taken to an area hospital as a precaution, according to police.

The crash remains under investigation.
