DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The man who stole a U-Haul, led police on a chase, crashed into an unmarked police car on I-75 and was on the run for 21 days has learn he will spend the next three years in prison.
A U-Haul truck was stolen from Riverside on July 1 and the driver fled from police down South I-75. During the chase, the U-Haul hit an unmarked police vehicle. Eventually, police deployed stop sticks and the U-Haul crashed into a ditch.
Two people were arrested and the driver, William Pressel, had fled from the crash. Police searched for him for 20 days. He was arrested in Huber Heights on Monday, July 21. He tried to flee from the cops a second time but was apprehended.
Pressel stood before Judge Mary E. Montgomery and the court and spoke before his sentencing.
