DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) -- The shutdown of the federal government is likely to touch every aspect of American life.
Education will almost certainly be among them, though the shutdown would need to reach multiple months before any impact would be felt in education.
Financial aid that would be provided to certain types of students could be up in the air impacting the way they approach education.
The good news is that parents and students can still apply for financial aid for this upcoming school year as well as the next, but problems arise with two programs: Supplemental Grants and Federal Work Study.
Supplemental grants are the money that is given to students who are identified as needing additional financial help. The budget proposal does not include renewing these funds.
