QUINCY (WGEM) - A plea date was set on Wednesday for the woman who is accused of arson after a fire broke out in the 800 block of South 8th Street.

According to court documents, a plea date was set for Paula Johnson, 41, at 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 15.

Court documents show that Johnson was originally scheduled for a jury trial starting Nov. 3.

Johnson was charged with two counts of residential arson, two counts of arson to a residential property and one count of aggravated arson knowing people were present.

Johnson was arrested on July 25 by the Quincy Police Department after an investigation showed the fire derived from human involvement due to a lack of utilities at the house and storms present at the time of the fire.
