NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Doctors and medical staff traded surgical instruments and office equipment for brushes at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellvue.
The prescription is painting during break time with the Peanuts Gang to celebrate the comic strip's 75th anniversary.
"We saw this on the Bellevue email, and we had to go," said Chelsea Cruz.
The Peanuts gang was created in October 1950 by Charles M. Schulz.
Peanuts Worldwide and the Foundation for Hospital Art are traveling the country with canvases and paint.
"This is really relaxing, and it’s helpful. It eases your mind, and I love doing it," said Cher Xavier.
