NEW JERSEY (WABC) -- Heavy winds and rains downed trees and power lines overnight while more flooding is expected during Monday afternoon's high tide.

Thousands were without power across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut as the nor'easter worked its way up the Mid-Atlantic.

New Jersey is being saturated by the nor'easter and there are pockets of power outages throughout the Garden State.

So far, the kind of coastal flooding that had so many people concerned has not materialized yet.

All of New Jersey had been under a state of emergency since Saturday night, which authorizes the state's emergency services personnel to be activated as necessary.
