DECATUR, Ala. - Rock the South is making a big move from Cullman to Decatur, set to take place next summer on a sprawling 150-acre site off Gordon Terry Parkway.

Decatur city officials expect about 30,000 attendees, mostly from out of town, and are anticipating millions of dollars in economic impact. Despite potential concerns over traffic and noise, local residents and businesses are largely welcoming the change.

Ashley Maples, a neighbor, shared her enthusiasm about the festival's new location. "I seen the lineup and I kinda, that’s amazing, Jason Aldean in my front yard," Maples said. She added that it's a great opportunity to rent out yards or rooms as a way to make money.
