INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WPTA) - The mother of a 16-year-old Indianapolis boy who is blind and deaf is suing his former school administrators and teachers, alleging he was subjected to “inhumane and degrading treatment.”

The lawsuit, which identifies the boy as John Doe and his mother as Jane Doe, claims the defendants violated the Americans with Disabilities Act. It names the Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township as a defendant, as well as:

Superintendent Jeffery Butts;

Principal Sandra Squire;

Coordinator of Special Services Dante Brown;

Special education teacher Samantha Johnson; and

Special education teacher Conner Edwards.
