LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The fight against domestic violence takes center stage this month as October marks Domestic Violence Awareness Month — a time dedicated to educating the public on the impacts of abuse and encouraging survivors to seek help.

This October also marks one year since the groundbreaking of Women & Children First’s Forest of Hope Family Peace Center, a new facility in southwest Little Rock. The center will replace the organization’s current shelter and is designed to serve as a comprehensive resource for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

Once completed, the center will bring multiple agencies together under one roof, providing survivors and their families with access to medical, legal, and emotional support services.
