Bismarck, N.D. (KXNET)- The future is bright for young people who know how to weld.
And on Wednesday, workers from Doosan Bobcat invited kids to take a tour of the plant and also to see up close how robotics are becoming a bigger part of the industry. The plant donated one of its robotic welders to BSC's advanced technology center. That will be used by students on campus who are studying automation.
"They get really excited when they see the real-world experience, and this is exactly what this opportunity gives them," assistant teaching professor Ashley Brockman said. "It's something that came from industry, and they're able to see firsthand exactly what they're going to be doing once they get out into the field."
