President Donald Trump has reaffirmed his decision not to recognize Indigenous Peoples Day alongside Columbus Day, issuing a proclamation this week that honors only the Italian explorer. He accused Democrats of undermining Columbus’s legacy and emphasized his campaign’s focus on restoring traditional American icons.
