FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — A Fall River man has admitted to assaulting his girlfriend and later slashing her tires in 2022, Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III announced.

Damien Gouse, 46, pleaded guilty Tuesday to stalking, domestic assault and battery, and malicious damage to a motor vehicle.

On Jan. 10, 2022, police said they met with a woman who had facial injuries, a bruised left eye, and a mark on her neck after a reported domestic assault.

The victim reportedly told officers that her boyfriend, Gouse, struck her multiple times in the back of the head while they were driving earlier that night. After she exited the car, Gouse chased her, forced her back into the car, and took her phone and keys.
