SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The No. 5-ranked Robert Lee Steers will take a perfect record into the District 8-1A Division I opener on the road against Irion County on Friday night.

Kickoff is 7:30 p.m. at O.K. Wolfenbarger Field.

Robert Lee is 6-0, and the Steers wrapped up non-district play with a 70-20 blowout against Bronte last week.

Irion County is 1-5, but the Hornets have had one of the toughest schedules in the state. They will be playing a third-straight Top-5 team this week.
