LONDON, Ky. (FOX 56) — The attorney representing the London City Council has submitted a letter of resignation.

Conrad Cessna said he is triggering his notice requirement and will continue to represent the council for the next 60 days.

Cessna was hired to represent the council in late January of 2025.

The city faces ongoing action against London Mayor Randall Weddle, who was recently reinstated as mayor.

He said he hopes the break will be amicable.

"I hope that this break will be amicable and wish you all well. As a resident of the City of London, the ongoing turmoil is concerning, however I trust that you all will serve the people of London to the best of your ability," he wrote.
