LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — It's moments like Lexington's Faith & Blue event that help remind people of how important unity is, especially in a time when the city needs it.
Police Chief Lawrence Weathers said, "We know some things have happened and not just here but even around the world, but we can't let those interfere with our faith; we have to keep going, we have to push through."
There have been at least nine shootings in the city since the end of September.
Geo Gibson, Founder of Operation Making a Change, said that to reduce crime, it takes an all-hands-on-deck approach, and building that faith and trust through events like this one helps.
