BORGER, Texas (KFDA) - Two Panhandle school districts are asking voters to approve tax rate increases in November elections designed to bring additional revenue into their systems.

Hereford Independent School District and Borger Independent School District are both holding voter-approved tax rate elections, which allow voters to decide whether a school district can increase its tax rate over the state-defined limit.

Both districts are working with their communities to educate residents on how the elections would benefit students, staff, and the districts.
