MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — Special Olympics of Madison County says it needs volunteers for the 56th Madison County Track and Field Games, taking place in two weeks.
The games will take place on October 21 at Milton Frank Stadium.
"These track and field games are the largest in the state and will have over 525 local athletes," organizers said. "With just two weeks remaining and running short of volunteers, we need to reach out to the community for their help."
Special Olympics is an athletic and recreational program for athletes with intellectual disabilities, co-sponsored by the Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. Foundation.
